BIRDS FOR SALE

We all encounter problems each breeding season, we will let you know each week any problems we encounter and what remidies we take.

PRODUCTS

When we started the season we where using some bird products to boost the birds but when the chicks started to hatch the parents would not feed them.
The birds were all very fit so we decided to take the birds of all the products and bingo alot off the birds started to feed the chicks when they hatched.

We dont know if it was that or not but it seems a bit of a coincidence.

EMPTY EGGS

We have had a few pairs with empty eggs a couple of rounds in a row.

So we have changed the pairs around to other suitable partners.

TOPICAL TIP  (from Jason Julien)

Cant get your birds to eat the rearing food you give them ?

Then try boiling an egg and mixing it with the rearing food, it worked for me.

ANOTHER TIP

Do you find that sometimes chicks are getting squashed in the nest ?

Try putting in a marble just before the chicks hatch, it keeps the adults up off the chicks a little.
